IT'S SUGAR, ICE, AND YOU'D BETTER BE NICE! Sweetie Candy Vigilante is a honey-dipped, dark-humor infused horror/fantasy that narrates the story of Sweetie, an ethereal, beautiful, charming, and well-meaning (yet unquestionably unhinged) kin of the mythological "candy man"... yes, the one who takes the sunrise and sprinkles it with dew. Distressed by the blight and decay of her community, Sweetie is determined to enact a blood-soaked, sugar-coated manifesto on society by leveraging her otherworldly powers and family secrets to make the world a "sweeter" place, starting in her hometown, New York City. In issue #1, on a snowy, icy evening, Sweetie visits a renowned NYC sweet shop called the Ice Cream Bunny, hoping to find its namesake in charge. Instead, she discovers the shop has devolved from its former sugary splendor into a salty hub of vice. Now a front for a notorious crime syndicate, the once-cherished store is anything but nice. Sweetie wields her enchanting persona and deceptive confectionery weapons to dismantle the establishment and its mobsters, limb by limb, aiming to restore its past glory. Meanwhile, a punk version of the Archies' hit "Sugar, Sugar" blares from the jukebox, setting the soundtrack to the literal rolling of heads. This issue comes with a download code for a free pop-rock MP3 of "Sugar, Sugar," by Osaka Popstar, featured in the comic, allowing readers to tune in as Sweetie takes action. Questions arise: Will Sweetie encounter any 'good eggs' among the Ice Cream Bunny's patrons? Who is the Ice Cream Bunny? And who is Sweetie's giant Gummee hench-bear? This issue delivers it all: blood, guts, and a sugar rush, all unfolding in the premiere issue of "Sweetie Candy Vigilante." Isn't that sweet? The series begins with an extra-large Dynamite Debut issue to whet your appetite for more! So, strap in, gumdrop, and leave space for dessert.
